I've embarked on a 3 week journey, a vacation of sorts. I am experiencing freedom from the binds of education and liberation from a system rooted in legalism. Grades, papers, speeches - down with them, I say! But education surrounds me, I can't leave it behind in the walls of my college. I am plagued by the reality of the work load I have taken on. You see, with my school, as Gordo Rangs often compares to kindergarten, the lines become blurred between school and the outside world. My social endeavors really aren't outside of my education, they are a vital factor that affects the rest of my studies. My weekly bible studies with Patrick are a Religion course and learning about my food allergies, an elective in Nutrition. Learning to communicate effectively in the relationships around me is an Honors course in Sociology and Linguistics that keeps me awake at night studying for.

I have to get back to homework for my English course now, you see I am doing very poorly in this subject. My longhand is awful and I miss my weekly assignments. I have 8 pages of writing to make up to a dear friend across the world. You might know her: Irma McCrery.

an eastern ballad

I speak of love that comes to mind:

The moon is faithful, although blind;
She moves in thought she cannot speak.
Perfect care has made her bleak.

I never dreamed the sea so deep,
The earth so dark; so long my sleep,
I have become another child.
I wake to see the world go wild.

im about to get real serious.

im wondering if you feel like you're getting more out of your studies in school right now, or the thoughts and opportunities your studies are leading to at this time in your life.

what classes that you are enrolled in will have the greatest impact on your future and why?

why are you in school?

why do you value higher education?

to a very well man.

"A hundred times everyday i remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that i must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as i have received and am still receiving."
-Albert Einstein "the world as i see it"

in conclusion:
when you dont want to get out of bed, get out of bed because you owe it to humanity.

"Oh him... well he's just going through a Lunar Phase right now."

"It runs freely to the ground...
mother earth drink my blood.
A stranger to none, he smiled...
New Moon I hail thee...
by all the virtue in my body
grant this nite that I may see them...
who my true love is to be."
